Community Traverse - Moors 100
Community Traverse - Moors 100 is a mountain ultra covering approximately 160 kilometres, running from Patterdale in the Lake District to The Lion Inn in the North York Moors. The route follows sections of Wainwright's Coast to Coast route and crosses mountain passes, rolling dales, remote moorland, historic villages and open farmland.
The route begins in Patterdale within the Lake District National Park and progresses east through the Yorkshire Dales before finishing at The Lion Inn on the North York Moors. While the opening stages include rugged fells and mountain passes, later sections include long stretches of exposed terrain and require careful navigation. A GPX file and final route information will be issued prior to the event.
Checkpoint locations include Shap, Kirkby Stephen, Richmond, Ingleby Cross Village Hall and The Lion Inn at the finish. Checkpoints will provide water and hot food with vegan and gluten free options, snacks and race nutrition, indoor access, toilet facilities and first aid support.
The event has a 60 hour cut-off. A mandatory kit list applies and live tracking will be used for all participants; trackers must be returned at the finish or on withdrawal. Participants must follow the official route, notify Race Control if they withdraw and be capable of maintaining forward progress within event cut-offs. Entries open 18 June 2026 and close 1 March 2027. Minimum age is 20 and the entry fee is £145. The event is registered with the International Trail Running Association and finishers earn ITRA endurance points. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
