CBTE Morland 'Marathon' - 8 March 2026

The Morland 'Marathon' is a trail ultra of 30 miles for runners and walkers. The route is largely off-road on mixed terrain and includes about 3000 ft of elevation. It starts and finishes in the village of Morland near Penrith and runs through undulating countryside in the Eden Valley and the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The course follows the Pennines to the east and the Howgills to the south and passes features such as stone circles, waterfalls, lower lying fells, cairns, meadows, and historic villages. The event will be fully tracked on Open Tracking.

Entries, services and prizes

Entries open 10 March 2025 and close 14 February 2026. Minimum age is 18 on the event date. At the time of the listing there were 64 entries. Entry fees are £61 for solo entries and £80 for relay teams, with a £2 discount for affiliated runners. The entrance fee includes tracking, a finishers medal, a t-shirt, and water and snacks at three checkpoints. Trophies are awarded to first female, first male, first non-binary, first relay team, and first female and male in V50, V60 and V70 categories.
