CBTE Morland 'Marathon'

The CBTE Morland 'Marathon' is a trail ultra scheduled for 8 March 2026, starting and finishing in the village of Morland near Penrith. The route is largely off-road on mixed terrain and covers approximately 29 miles with about 3,000 ft of elevation. The course runs through undulating countryside in the Eden Valley and the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with sections that hug the Pennines to the east and the Howgills to the south. Features on the route include stone circles, waterfalls, lower lying fells, cairns, meadows, and historic villages.

Entry and event details

Entries open 10 March 2025 and close 14 February 2026. Minimum age is 18 on the event date. Entry fees listed are Solo £61.00 and Relay £80.00, with a £2 discount for affiliated runners; 81 entries had been recorded at the time of listing. The event will be fully tracked on Open Tracking. The entry fee includes tracking, a finisher medal, a t-shirt, and water and snacks at three checkpoints. Trophies are awarded for 1st female, 1st male, 1st non-binary, 1st relay team, and for 1st female and male in V50, V60 and V70 categories. Entry requires registration with SiEntries.
