Morland 'Marathon'
The Morland 'Marathon' is a trail ultra over 30 miles held in Morland, Cumbria on Saturday 6 March 2027. The route starts and finishes at Morland Village Hall (CA10 3AS) and runs through the Eden Valley and the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with views toward the Pennines and the Howgills.
The course is largely off-road on mixed terrain and includes about 3000 ft of ascent. The event is fully tracked and has four food and water checkpoints spaced along the route. Organisers allow a 12 hour cut-off and provide tail runners to support participants who need assistance to reach the finish.
Entry options and services are stated in the event information. Standard and affiliated entry fees and a relay entry are listed, and the entrance fee includes a finishers medal plus water and snacks at checkpoints. A finishers t-shirt is available to purchase and there is an option to support tree planting via a partner scheme. First aid and event insurance are in place and a GPX route is published subject to minor changes. Walkers are permitted if they can complete the course within the cut-off. Support runners are allowed but must be self-sufficient. Dogs may run but should be kept on a lead where livestock are present. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
