The CBTE Morland 'Marathon' is a trail ultra scheduled for Sunday 8 March 2026. The route is 29 miles long, largely off-road on mixed terrain, and has about 3,000 ft of elevation. It starts and finishes in Morland (Morland Village Hall, CA10 3AS) near Penrith. The course runs near the Pennines to the east and the Howgills to the south, passing through undulating countryside in the Eden Valley and the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Route features include stone circles, waterfalls, lower lying fells, cairns, meadows, and historic villages. The event is open to runners and walkers and will be fully tracked on Open Tracking.

Practical information

Entries open 10 March 2025 and close 14 February 2026. Minimum age is 18 on the event date. Entry options and fees listed are: Solo £61 and Relay £80, with a £2 discount for affiliated runners. The entry package includes tracking, a finishers medal, a t-shirt, and water and snacks at three checkpoints.
