Trail Running Calendar Yorkshire and The Humber 2026-2027

A trail event from Skelton Lake Services into Rothwell Country Park with woodland and riverside terrain, multiple distances, TRA licensed races, on course support and a finish featuring a bespoke medal and kebabs.

Join the Saltergate Gallows fell race on Sun 15 Nov 2026 from Levisham Village Hall in the North York Moors. Tackle a rugged 10 mile course with 454 m of climb and enjoy entry on the day plus winter series camaraderie.

A 10.5 km forest trail race around Meanwood Park and the Meanwood Valley Trail with muddy, technical sections and 200 m of ascent. Finishers receive complimentary soup; entry is limited and the minimum age is 18.

A three hour fell running score event in the Eastern Moors and Burbage Valley on 15 November 2026. Competitors choose their own routes to visit controls and must carry FRA mandatory kit while aiming to score as many points as possible.

Join a community of runners at Roundhay Park for MoRun Leeds, featuring chip timed distances from 1.5k up to a hilly half marathon. Enjoy a festive atmosphere with fancy dress prizes and unique medals while supporting men’s health.

A 5 km fell race in Litton and Upper Wharfedale with about 362 m of climb on 21 November 2026, featuring a new course from 2024 and a programme of junior races from under 9 to under 17.

Experience a scenic 5.8 mile fell race in Marsden featuring a circular route with over 1000 feet of elevation. Runners will traverse the Pennine Way and local hills starting from the Marsden Cricket Club.

Experience a unique multi-lap half marathon through the quiet winter roads of Thorpe Park Holiday Park. This small-scale event offers a flat course, bespoke medals, and a friendly atmosphere for only 40 participants.

Traverse 81 miles of the scenic Wolds Way National Trail from Hessle to Filey. This ultramarathon features historic villages and chalk landscapes with solo and relay options for a 24 hour finish.

Experience a unique multi-terrain half marathon at Haven Thorpe Park Holiday Park. This small-scale event features a flat four-lap course with a bespoke medal and goody bag for all forty finishers.

The Black Night Scar fell race lights up the South West Pennines on 24 Nov 2026 from Todmorden, a punchy 5.8 km course with 315 m of climb under headtorches. Entries available pre entry or on the day with teams of three welcome.

Trail marathon, half marathon and 10km runs take place in Dalby Forest on 29 November 2026. Routes follow forest roads with views across the North York Moors and one well controlled dog per runner is allowed.

A flagged Pennine fell race of about 6 miles with 500 m of climb across fields, moorland and rough tracks. Entry requires FRA mandatory kit and a minimum age of 18.

Trail running event in Otley on 12 December 2026 offering 12, 19 and 32 mile routes with three checkpoints, mandatory kit and tracker provision for ultramarathon entrants. Entry minimum age 18 and a 100 person maximum field.

Moors The Merrier 21 is a scenic yet testing fell race of 21 miles across the South West Pennines from Hebden Bridge Golf Club. Expect moorland vistas, festive fun with a Santa hat and small gift tradition, plus post race hot meal.

A winter walking and running event in Holmfirth with three looped routes of 11.6, 7.2 and 4.2 miles from Brockholes Village Hall, offering refreshments, a finish meal and a certificate.

Run Fellrunner at Stoop at Penistone Hill near Haworth, an 8 km fell race with 250 m climb across the Pennine hills. Festive extras include a free Santa hat, Christmas prizes, a Curly Wurly for finishers and post race coffee.

Experience fast and furious junior fell racing through the old quarries of Penistone Hill. These short circuit races offer exciting scrambles for young runners from age six and up.

Night-time 5 km and 10 km runs at St Ives Estate, Bingley on 21 December 2026 with chip timing and a virtual option that includes a mailed medal. Reduced accompanied entry is available for 6-17 year olds.

A Boxing Day 7.8 km fell race from Totley AC with 270 m ascent, partially waymarked across Blacka and Totley Moor. Full FRA best-practice kit is required and proceeds support S6 foodbank and Edale Mountain Rescue.
