It can be entered as a pair or as a solo participant. Entry cost is £60 per pair or £30 per solo, and entries are limited to a maximum of 65 participants.

Course and navigation

The route is approximately circa 37 miles and visits five Triangulation Pillars. Participants must visit checkpoints in the order provided before the event. The route is self-navigated using public rights of way; organisers will send CP and pillar locations and a suggested route GPX prior to the event. One checkpoint location will be revealed only on course and contains an item that must be carried back to the finish.

Support, rules and kit

Participants are self-supported. Three checkpoint locations will provide snacks and drinks. No support crews, support runners or walkers are allowed; pairs and solos must complete the full course. The completion time limit is 15 hours and parts of the course may be finished in the dark. Participants must be comfortable using a map and compass and must carry mandatory kit items including a map, working compass, head-torch with spare, emergency bivvy bag, spare clothing, waterproofs, charged mobile phone with organiser contact, drink and emergency food. All finishers receive a certificate, a memento and a cloth badge, and a hot meal with vegetarian and gluten-free options is provided at the finish.
