Run for Wildlife Spring 10k 2026

Run for Wildlife Spring 10k 2026 takes place on Sunday 26 April 2026 at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park (DN9 3HQ). The event is organised by Curly's Athletes with the Yorkshire Wildlife Park team and supports the Wildlife Foundation; this is the fourth year the 10k running safari has been held.

The route is a single large loop that circles the park and its grounds to include as much of the park as possible. The surface is mixed, with roads, park paths, some trail and short grass sections. Road shoes are considered suitable. The course is fully UK Athletics licensed and is described as a layout where athletes may attempt personal bests.

The event is open to walkers, joggers and runners and runs alongside park animal enclosures. Past animal themes for the 10k have included tapirs, lions, and rhinos, and 2025 featured an okapi. Entry for the day includes access to the park after the run. Tickets for this event are currently sold out. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
