The event is licensed by the TRA and run under UK Athletics rules. There are age-based maximum distance restrictions: participants aged 12-13 may run up to 5,000m; ages 14-15 up to 6,000m; age 16 up to 10,000m; age 17 up to 25,000m; ages 18-19 up to 45,000m; and ages 20 and over have no maximum distance.

Course

The course consists of laps on two different loops: one is 3.28 miles and the other is 4.37 miles. Distances are achieved by completing a set number of laps; for example, a 10k is two laps of a 5k loop. The route is mainly on a tarmac path along an old railway line, with a small section on a field at the start and finish of each lap. It is an out-and-back course that requires no navigation.

Facilities

At the end of each lap, there is a table with water, squash, fizzy drinks, and a variety of food. Toilets are located at the pavilion on the playing field. Parking is available at the Skellingthorpe Community Centre car park.

After the Race

All finishers receive a medal and a goody bag. Participants also have the option to choose their medal from a selection of medals from the organizer's previous events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
