Course and facilities

The course is a 3.28-mile lap mainly along an old railway line on a tarmac path, with a short section on the field at the start and finish of each lap. There is a 5k turn point; a 10k uses two 5k laps, a half marathon is four laps of the 3.28-mile course, a marathon is eight laps, and an ultra is nine or more laps. The route is out-and-back with no navigation required. A table will be available at the end of each lap with water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of food. Toilets are at the pavilion on the playing field. Parking is at the car park at Skellingthorpe Community Centre. Finishers receive a medal and a goody bag.

Rules and age limits

The run is licensed by the TRA and held under UKA Athletics rules. Maximum permitted distances by age are stated as: 12-13 years 5,000m; 14-15 years 6,000m; age 16 10,000m; age 17 25,000m; ages 18-19 45,000m; age 20 and over no maximum distance.
