The Wolds Farm Loop - 6 Hours
The Wolds Farm Loop is a timed trail running event held in an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Participants have a 6-hour time limit to complete as many laps as they choose on a circular course. The format allows runners to determine their own distance, ranging from a single loop to marathon or ultra-marathon lengths.
The route consists of an approximate 5.45 km loop with 71 metres of elevation gain per lap. The course features a variety of terrain, including:
- Rolling open fields
- Off-road farm tracks
- Quiet tarmac sections
- Ancient woodland valleys
A single aid station, referred to as "The Shop," is located at the start and finish line of the loop. It provides a variety of food such as cake, fudge, cheese straws, and jelly babies. This is a cup-less event, meaning participants must bring their own reusable cups or bottles as no plastic bottles or paper cups are provided. Runners are also permitted to bring their own labeled nutrition to leave at the station.
The event is open to participants aged 18 or older. To be classified as a finisher and receive a custom medal and goody bag, runners must complete at least one full lap. Parking is available at two nearby locations, situated approximately 200m and 400m from the event site. A bag drop area is provided within a shelter or tent near the start line.
