Rumble In The Jumble IV

Rumble In The Jumble IV is a six hour timed challenge held at Poorhouse Lane, Hull HU9 5DF. The event allows runners to cover distances from 5K up to an ultra marathon within the time limit. The event is presented as a slightly cheaper run than normal and finishers may choose a medal from a selection of medals from previous events.

The course is an out and back route, predominantly on a tarmac path along an old railway line with a small section of trail, and requires no navigation. One lap measures 4.37 miles and there is a 5K turn point. Distances are arranged as follows:

  • 5K
  • 10K (two laps of the 5K lap)
  • Half marathon (three laps of the 4.37 mile course)
  • Marathon (six laps)
  • Ultra marathon (seven or more laps)
  • 6 hour challenge

An aid table is available at the end of each lap offering water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of foods for self service. Toilets are provided at a local leisure facility. Parking is available in the parking bays on Preston Road near Poorhouse Lane; participants are asked not to use local business car parks or to park along Poorhouse Lane because of restrictions.

The run is licensed by the TRA and is held under UKA Athletics rules. After finishing, participants receive a bespoke medal and a five piece goody bag. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
