Hull Pretty Muddy 5k

Hull Pretty Muddy is a 5k obstacle event at Costello Stadium, Hull, taking place on Saturday 25 July 2026. The course starts and finishes on grass and is a mix of grass and tarmac path. Small sections include sloping downhills and uphill gradients. The listed distance is Pretty Muddy 5k.

Participants climb, crawl and slide through a series of obstacles laid out across the route. Start times are organised in staggered waves every 15 minutes to manage numbers on the course; groups should register for the same wave. The minimum age to take part is 13 years. There is a separate Pretty Muddy Kids programme for children aged 12 and under.

The event is organised by Cancer Research UK and has a minimum fundraising target of £50. Entry prices are shown as £22.49 for adults and £12.00 for children. Registered participants receive event materials including a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans, access to an online community and a Race for Life medal on completion.

Travel and site details note general event parking at Syrius Academy West with a short flat walk to the venue, Blue Badge parking at Warners Gym/Pickering Road car park, and nearby bus stops on Anlaby Park Road, Boothferry Road and Pickering Road. Facilities listed as available include refreshments, toilets and parking. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users and pushchairs are not suitable for the course. A 54 km circular ultra from the edge of Pocklington through the Yorkshire Wolds with four checkpoints, GPX navigation and a 12 hour overall cut off.

A six hour timed challenge in Hull where runners can cover distances from 5K to ultra marathon on a 4.37 mile out and back lap beside an old railway line. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and a five piece goody bag.

A six hour timed circuit event on farm fields at Thonock Lane Farm in Gainsborough. Runners complete 2.5 km laps with on-course drink and food stations and receive a themed medal and goody bag.

A seaside trail run from Hornsea on an out and back Trans Pennine Trail route. Multiple distances from 10 km to marathon, with feed stations every three miles, marshals, on-course signage and a finisher medal.
