Hip Hip Hooray It's Hornsea

Hornsea, United Kingdom • 5 Sep 2026

Its Grim Up North Running presents Hip Hip Hooray it's Hornsea, a seaside trail event in Hornsea, East Yorkshire along the Trans Pennine Trail. The race offers multiple distances—5k, 10k, 10-mile, 20-mile, half marathon, and marathon (two halves)—all on a flat, good-trail course. Runners benefit marshalled, signed routes, feed stations every three miles, and toilets at the Leisure Centre.

The event emphasizes a cup-less ethos with reusable bottles, and earphone guidance discourages large over-ear headphones for safety. Transfers/deferrals are self-service. Expect a coastal day out with a bespoke medal and post-race treats.

The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
