Trail Running calendar near Hornsea 2026-2027

A scenic out and back trail from Otley to Pateley Bridge on the Six Dales Trail, offered over 13, 20 and 32 mile distances with checkpoints, trackers and mandatory kit requirements.

Approximately 12k mainly off road at Rother Valley Country Park with a signed course and marshals. Finishers receive a mug and goody bag and there will be tea, coffee and plenty of cakes.

A muddy 5 km obstacle course at Thornes Park with uneven grass, woodland paths and rolling hills. Waves run every 15 minutes; participants must be 13 or older and there is a minimum fundraising target of £50.

A ten person relay following the Barnsley boundary across roads, tracks and footpaths, covering about 72 miles and 7,350 ft of ascent. Teams run individual legs, times are aggregated and results are announced by category.

A non stop 108 mile Pennine Way race from Edale to Hardraw with a 60 hour limit, high ascent and varied terrain. Organisers require prior endurance experience and places are limited.

A charity 5K colour run in Silsden supporting Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, run over three laps with seven paint stations, obstacles and a finishers' medal. The event includes music, food and a bar after the race.

A lapped trail event near Roche Abbey staged by Its Grim Up North Running. Loop options range from 6.7 miles to a marathon, with mixed surfaces, feed stations and a post race medal plus pub food.

Trail races from Chop Gate with three distances : Marathon (28), Half 16.5 and 10k 9.5. Entries limited to 330, mandatory safety kit is required and competitors must print route maps and navigate themselves.

A fell race in Edale on 14 June 2026 covering 7.6 km with 402 m of ascent. Registration is at Edale Village Hall and the entry fee includes access to Edale Country Day; entries close 12 June 2026.

A flat 10 km beach race along Filey Beach with registration based at Filey Sailing Club. Organised by Filey Lions, the course features a 5 km turnaround, on-course water, and a medal and gift for every finisher.

A Peak District fell race around Castleton supporting the local cave rescue team. The course is 8.5 km with 370 m ascent, partially flagged, runs under FRA rules, and has specific kit and navigation requirements.

A Category A fell race at Ogden Water near North Halifax, covering about 3.5 miles with roughly 1000 feet of climb over stony trails, ridges, stream crossings and technical terrain. Organised by Halifax Harriers as a fundraiser with on-site..

An evening trail run at Newmillerdam Country Park over a hilly 5 kilometre loop through woodlands and by the lake. Trophies and medals are awarded for overall and age category winners.

Trail races at Forcett Hall on a historic estate, offering 5 km, 10 km (two laps) and a 5 km walk over pasture, tracks and woodland; trail shoes recommended and places are limited to 200 entrants.

A pop up summer event at Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve on 18 June 2026 offering 5k and 10k races with pay on the day entry, a jumble medal and post race food and drink.

On 18 June 2026 the Beamsley Beacon race covers 5.5 miles with about 1100 ft of climb, starting at St Peters Church Hall in Addingham and reaching the stone cairn at the Beacon. Entry is £5 and parking next to the hall is limited.

A 4.5 miles fell race at Grindleford Pavilion on 18 June 2026, routing through Hay Wood, the Longshore Estate and Padley Gorge. The marshalled, partially taped course includes a river crossing near the finish.

Two Rose Ultra offers two contrasting 50 km loops or the full 100 km around Hebden Bridge, crossing Lancashire and Yorkshire. Routes mix technical moorland and woodland with staffed checkpoints, hot food, GPS timing and a bespoke finisher m..

Trail challenges from Scarborough along the Cleveland Way and coast to Whitby plus inland moorland routes. Distances include 100 km, 50 km, 25 km and a Whitby 10 mile option with covered rest stops, medical teams and camping.

An all night trail run across the North York Moors starting and finishing at Goathland Village Hall. Entrants receive a tracker, a GPX route and checkpoint support with food and drinks, and all finishers receive a Lamplighter medal.
