St Aidan's 10K
St Aidan’s 10K is a trail race of 10 km held at RSPB St Aidan's Country Park near Leeds. The event takes place on Friday 24 July 2026 and is described as an evening race in July. Entrants must be aged 16 years or over on the day.
The route runs mostly on public footpaths and bridleways through the country park, taking in woodland glades, reedbeds, lakes and ponds, and a hill with panoramic views. The race starts by the RSPB St Aidan's Little Owl Cafe, alongside the preserved walking dragline excavator known as "Oddball", and finishes back at the Visitor Centre.
Entry fees are listed as £21 for affiliated runners and £23 for unaffiliated runners; entry on the day is £3 more. A route map and past results have been recorded for previous editions of the race. Course records stand at 33:08 for men (2017) and 39:04 for women (2019).
St Aidan's Country Park occupies restored land that was formerly opencast mining. The park contains trails and open spaces for walking, cycling and wildlife watching, and provides a setting for the race within a nature reserve environment.
