Danefield Relay Fell Race

The Danefield Relay is a three leg fell relay held at Danefield Park, East Chevin Road, Otley in the York Dales region of England on 8 July 2026. The event is organised as a team relay with each team composed of three runners.

Each leg covers 4.8 km / 3 miles with 170 m / 558 ft of climb. The course used for the event has been the current route since 2018. Teams compete in several categories including male open, male veteran 40 plus, ladies open, ladies veteran 40 plus, mixed and mixed veteran 40 plus. The minimum age for competitors is 15.

Entry is available both before the event and on the day. The entry fee is GBP 10.00 per team and payments are collected on the night. The race holds a permit and carries associated UK Athletics insurance from the Fell Runners Association.

Recorded team course times include a male team time of 00:50:53 set in 2023 and a female team time of 01:05:10 set in 2023.
