Thurlstone Chase

The Thurlstone Chase is a category BS fell race organized by Penistone Footpath Runners. The event takes place in South Yorkshire, with the race headquarters located at the Thurlstone Gala and Football Field. This single-lap course covers a distance of 6.4 kilometres on undulating terrain typical of fell running.

The event has an entry limit of 150 participants. This race is not suitable for wheelchairs. Participants should note that the venue does not provide specific facilities such as water stations, distance markers, toilets, changing rooms, showers, or baggage storage.

Awards are presented to the first three male and female finishers. Additionally, prizes are awarded to the top finishers in five-year age increments starting at the MV40 and FV40 categories. Cash prizes are available for participants who set new course records, with the current targets being 25:04 for men and 26:56 for women.
