Thurlstone Chase is a BS-category fell race held on 9 July 2026 in Thurlstone, South Yorkshire, in the Peak District. The race is organised by Penistone Footpath Runners and runs under a permit with associated UK Athletics insurance from the Fell Runners Association. The minimum age to enter is 16. The entry limit is 150 runners and the event is not suitable for wheelchairs.

The course is an undulating single-lap fell route starting and finishing at Thurlstone Football Club / Thurlstone Gala Field (High Bank Lane, Thurlstone). Distance is listed at about 6.4 km (roughly 4 miles to 4.2 miles across sources). Facilities at the race HQ do not include water stations, distance markers, toilets, changing rooms, showers, or baggage storage. Car parking is available in the start field. Current course records listed for the present course are 25:04 (male) and 26:56 (female); a £25 cash prize is offered for anyone breaking the male or female record.

Entry and prizes

Pre-entry opens in January 2026 and there is also entry on the day. The entry fee is £6.00 for affiliated and unaffiliated entrants.
