Event Details

The Thurlstone Chase is a BS category fell race, run under licence from the Fell Runners Association. The distance is 4.2 miles (6.75 km) with 150 meters of ascent.

Registration and Location

The event uses both pre-entry, available from January 2026, and entry on the day. Registration, the race start, and the finish are all at Thurlstone Football Club on High Bank Lane, Thurlstone. Car parking is available in the start field.

Rules and Prizes

Participants must be a minimum of 16 years old on the day of the race. Those under 18 who are not accompanied by a parent or guardian must bring a completed Fell Runners Association Parental Consent Form.

Prizes are awarded for the first three men and women, and for the first finisher in each five-year age category from V40 to V85. A £25 cash prize is available for the first man and woman to break the current course record. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
