Trail Running calendar near Hornsea 2026-2027

A 13.1 mile trail half marathon based at Drone Valley Brewery in Unstone, featuring forest and riverside paths, about 1,700 feet of elevation, one halfway aid station, a finisher medal and a free pint voucher.

The 15th and final Sheffield Tententen is a multi terrain 10k in Endcliffe Park, Sheffield on 11 October 2026, with a separate 2.5 km fun run for ages 4 to 14 and family-friendly atmosphere.

Tackle the Viking Chase, a 12 km fell race across the North York Moors on 11 Oct 2026, featuring 572 m of climb and sweeping moorland views. Entry on the day, adults only, with proceeds to Cleveland Mountain Rescue.

Withins Skyline is a 6.2 mile fell race around Penistone Hill Country Park with about 820 ft of ascent. The senior race is part of the Woodentops Race Series with chip timing while junior races feature goody bags and fancy dress prizes.

Two trail races in the Amber Valley offering 31 miles and 20 miles over undulating countryside and woodland. The course is largely unmarked but route notes and GPX files are provided, with checkpoints supplying water and some food.

A self navigated 50k route from Grassington across the Yorkshire Dales with 1260 m ascent, GPX navigation, aid stations and live tracking. Map reading and fell experience are required.

Rip n Run XL in Wadsworth offers a 40 mile route with 5,800 ft elevation and an 80 mile double option with 28 hours to finish. Four checkpoints, indoor facilities at two stops, and hot food at HQ support runners.

Part of the 2026 Yorkshire Weekend Saunter series in Brighouse, this event offers 5K, 10K and half marathon routes on scenic courses, with a jumble medal, hot food, drink options and flexible entry.

On 17 October 2026 Amberaid offers a 31 miles route and the Petit Raid a 20 miles route through Amber Valley countryside, both largely unmarked but supported with GPX files, checkpoints, medals and medic cover.

Multi-distance running event in Knaresborough with 10k (ish), half, 20-mile, marathon and ultra options on a 6.5-mile loop through parkland and a converted rail track. Feed stations, finisher medal and post-race refreshments are provided.

Join the Gormire Gamble on Sunday 18 October 2026 at Sutton Bank in the North York Moors. This 9.1 km fell race with 250 m of climbing offers sweeping views and a lively autumn challenge for seasoned runners.

A 3 hour mountain marathon score event in the Dark Peak. Run solo or in a pair, navigating with a waterproof map. Post race refreshments are provided.

A three hour score fell race in Edale on 18 October 2026 where individuals or pairs choose their own routes to visit controls and score points. Navigation skills and FRA mandatory kit are required.

Two trail races at Danby Lodge on 18 October 2026, offering 10 km and 5 km loops with a 150 runner limit. Entries close 1 October or when full and fees differ for affiliated and unaffiliated runners.

A multi-distance trail event on the Nidderdale Way that visits Ripley Castle and Brimham Rocks, with supplied trackers, checkpoint support, a mandatory kit list and options from 13 to 55 mile distances.

Trail races in the North York Moors around Ravenscar offering 10K, half marathon, marathon and ultra distances on moorland and grassland. The event awards season leaderboard points and requires online check in before race day.

Half marathon and 10k on the traffic free Monsal Trail near Bakewell. Two race days 24 and 25 October 2026, with GPX route maps, bespoke medal and free photos.

The Nidderdale Way Ultramarathon will take place in Pateley Bridge on Saturday 24 October 2026.

Tackle Lockton Limping, a scenic fell race across the North York Moors covering 11.2 km with 350 m of climb and sweeping views. Entry is on the day at Lockton Village Hall, perfect for both competitive and social runners.
