The event takes place at Driffield Showground, Driffield, East Yorkshire (YO25 9DN) and is organised by LDWA - East Yorkshire. It offers two marked courses starting and finishing at the showground, covering the Yorkshire Wolds. Minimum age is 18 or older. Entries opened on 1 August 2025 and close on 4 April 2026. The event is currently full; entries so far are 350 participants with 17 people on the waiting list. The entry fee is £30. Withdrawals made before 4 April 2026 receive a refund; withdrawals after that date forfeit the entry fee.

Course, services and rules

The 50-mile course must be completed within 20 hours; there is a cut-off at 25 miles (Thixendale). Free car parking is available at the showground. Camping is available from Friday to Sunday. Food and drink are provided at all checkpoints. Finishers receive a badge, a certificate and a meal. Retirements must be made at checkpoints only. The minimum kit required includes Map O/S Explorer 294/295/300 and compass, waterproofs, first aid kit and survival bag, a mug (no mug = no drink) and extra warm clothing.
