Punk Panther Spring Headtorch Half

This is a weekday head torch trail event organised by Punk Panther Ultra Marathons around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs. The event offers multiple distance options that follow reservoir paths and open countryside.

Distances:

  • Half Marathon: two laps around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs, approx 800 ft climb.
  • 10 km: one lap around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs, approx 400 ft climb.
  • 5 km: one lap around Swinsty Reservoir, approx 200 ft climb.

Entry opens 1 July 2026 and closes 22 March 2027. The entry fee is £15.00. The event is limited to 150 entrants and has a minimum age of 16. Entries are not accepted on the day.

Key logistics: the event is based at Swinsty Moor Car Park, North Lane, LS21 2NP. The car park is pay and display, £3 for six hours, card only. Registration takes place at the Punk Panther gazebo by the toilet block at the car park entrance. The start will be from the car park. The course will not be taped.

Safety and support: a short race brief is given at registration. Competitors are asked to carry a head torch and a mobile phone with the race director’s number stored and switched on. Water will be available at the Punk Panther gazebo after the first lap and at the finish. The finish is at the edge of the woods before the road back to the car park. Every finisher receives a medal. Tackle the rugged Bowland slopes at the Hapton Fell Race, a challenging 5 miles with about 400 m of climb near Burnley. Day of entry makes it ideal for last minute plans and friendly club rivalry.

A single-lap, mostly flat 10 kilometres trail race at RSPB St Aidan's Country Park near Leeds on 24 July 2026. Entry is limited to 300 runners and on-course facilities include water stations, distance markers and toilets.
