Samaritans Way Trail Run

The Samaritans Way Trail Run and Walk takes place on Saturday 3 April 2027 at Guisborough Rugby Club, Belmangate, Guisborough TS14 7BB. The event is organised by U Prevail Events in partnership with Teesside Samaritans and marks the branch's 59th anniversary.

The route follows the Official Samaritans Way created by Teesside Samaritans. Entrants can run or walk, alone or in a relay, with multiple distance options available.

What races are available:

  • 10 km walk or run
  • Half marathon run

Entry profits will be donated directly to the Teesside Samaritans branch. The event materials note examples of how funds are used: £10 can help answer a life saving call, £25 can help ensure a Samaritan is available to answer a call, and £44 can contribute to running the online chat service. For every £1 raised, 80p is allocated to services and 20p to fundraising.

Included with entry are a finishers medal, event T shirt, food and drink at the finish, fully stocked checkpoints, marshals along the route, and medical cover on course. A race permit from the Association of Running Clubs is listed as pending. Age restrictions apply; see the organiser's age policy for details.

Course records are listed for previous years, including times for a 20 km course in 2025 and for 2026 half marathon and 10 km courses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
