Course and facilities

The route runs along the towpath of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Terrain is described as good trail and the course is generally flat apart from locks. The route is out-and-back, marshalled and signed, but not every corner or junction will have a marshal. Feed and drink stations are provided approximately every three miles and the organiser encourages the use of a reusable cup or bottle. Toilets are available at the start. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and refreshments.

Logistics and safety

Participants are offered downloadable GPX files for navigation. There may be unmarshalled road crossings. The organiser asks runners not to use large over-ear headphones; bone-conducting or single-ear earphones are permitted. There is no car parking at the registration/start/finish; on-road and town centre parking is available and Rodley is served by buses from nearby towns. Transfers and deferrals can be self-served.
