Event overview

Its Grim Up North Running stages a canal towpath event on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal near the Barge Pub in Rodley (LS13 1HP) on 05/04/2026. The course is an out-and-back along a flat, even towpath with good trail underfoot; elevation is flat apart from the locks. The route is signed and marshalled, and the races are licenced by the Trail Running Association.

Practical information

Feed and drink stations are provided at approximately every 3 miles; the event operates a cup-less policy and participants are asked to use a reusable cup or bottle. Toilets are available at the start area. There is no dedicated car parking at the registration/start/finish; on-road parking is available around Rodley and in the town centre, and the location is served by buses from Leeds, Keighley, Shipley, Bingley and Bradford. GPX files for the routes are available for download. Organisers ask that large over-ear headphones are not used; bone-conducting or single-ear in-ear devices are acceptable.
