Trail Running Calendar United States 2026-2027

Experience the trails of Redwood Regional Park in Oakland. Runners can choose from distances ranging from a 50 yard kids dash to a 50K ultramarathon through scenic ridge lines and redwood groves.

A night trail event at Fontainebleau State Park with 5 and 10 mile options. Runners must carry a headlamp, whistle, and personal hydration; one aid point at the start finish provides water for refilling.

Experience the scenic trails of Iron Mountain at the Lake Antoine Classic. Choose between running, walking, or cycling distances in this community event supporting the Special Olympics.

A 3.1 miles obstacle course through Thomas Jefferson’s Poplar Forest with elite, team, corporate and non-competitive waves. Entry fees support Poplar Forest education and elite competitors must complete all obstacles to qualify for prizes.

A remote roughly 20 mile ridge trail race near Bozeman, Montana, run by volunteers with a lottery limited field. The route is technical and exposed; aid stations are volunteer staffed and participants must carry a water vessel.

Trail races at New Glarus Woods State Park on August 15, 2026 include 16K, 8K, 5K and a free 1K kids run. Proceeds benefit Friends of New Glarus Woods State Park and awards include age-group prizes plus a 16K consistency award.

A cross-country 5k on wooded White River trails in Noblesville with timed run, jog, and walk options. Participants receive honey and awards, and proceeds support Teter’s healthy food access and ecological education programs.

Summit Grays and Torreys Peaks in this 8.8 mile Colorado endurance event. Participants must carry a 20lb dry load while tackling 4,101 feet of elevation gain.

A community backyard ultra at Loudy Simpson Park where runners repeat a 4.167 mile loop each hour until one remains. A separate Citizens Race covers a single 4.167 mile loop along the Yampa River.

Trail races on hilly mixed dirt and single track at Almaden Quicksilver Park with distances from 5K to 50K, aid stations, drop bag service for longer races, and mandatory course markings and cutoffs.

A community wellness trail event at Blood Tribe Timber Limits on August 9, 2025 offering 2K for kids and 5K, 10K run only and 15K run only distances with free registration, chip timing, water stations and cash prize draws.

A 50 mile relay through Ashley National Forest on August 15, 2026, with solo and team options (8, 4, or 2 people). Support vehicles allowed and no aid stations.

Trail Half Marathon and 7 mile race on the Wolf River Trails in Memphis using the Mamba 100 loop, with stocked aid stations, cupless policy, packet pickup day before, and custom finisher medals.

A trail race at Harriman State Park, Island Park ID on August 15, 2026 with 1k, 10k, 25k and 50k options, scenic forest and meadow courses, a cupless policy and included post-race meal.

A 4.61 mile trail race at Moody Park in Claremont NH featuring narrow single track, wet sections and a steep drop and climb at Gravity Cavity. The event is part of the Western NH Trail Running Series and benefits the local parks department.

605 Trail Fest brings three trail distances to Good Earth State Park in Sioux Falls on August 15, 2026, including an 8 mile, a 4.5 mile and a 1 mile youth course. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before.

A cross country style 5K run and 1 mile walk on the fairways of Fallen Timbers Golf Course in Waterville, Ohio. Proceeds support Nature's Nursery and another local Northwest Ohio charity.

Lucky Bucket 5K takes place August 15, 2026 at Eugene Mahoney State Park in Ashland, NE. The off road course mixes dirt trails, grass and paved paths; entries include park admission, food, two drink tickets and a post race gathering.

A trail 5K in Gettysburg on August 15, 2026, with a race shirt option for early registrants and an event bottle opener medal. Brewfest options and tours of the Daniel Lady Farm House and Barn are available the same day.

A timed 5K at Brimfield Winery on August 15, 2026, run on a mostly grass cross country style course. Registration options include a standard 5K with a postrace wine pour and a volunteer plus run option.
