The Ivy Trek Ultra
The Ivy Trek Ultra is a trail running event held at Clarkco State Park in Quitman, Mississippi. The event offers multiple distances on a looped course that runs mostly on double track with some single track sections. The terrain includes several bridges, a feature called Gold Fish Pond, and recurring views of Ivy Lake. The trails are described as deceptively hilly and are maintained by park staff and volunteers.
The course uses a 7.78 mile loop. Runners complete multiple laps depending on distance and must follow the marked route to be eligible for awards. One aid station is located within the loop and the start/finish area also serves as an aid station. Participants are required to bring a personal water container; coolers are available for refills. Littering or shortcutting may result in disqualification. The overall course time limit is 10 hours; runners who do not start their final lap by the event cutoff will be recorded as 25K finishers.
Additional event details include on site camping options with separate fees, packet pickup at Pavilion 2 the day before and on race morning, RFID chip timing with split times and a results kiosk, an official race shirt and finisher medal for participants, and a custom patch for the first 100 registrants.
