The Ivy Trek Ultra

The Ivy Trek Ultra takes place at Clarkco State Park near Quitman, Mississippi. The event offers three distances:

  • 50K
  • 25K
  • 12.5K

The course is built on a 7.78 mile loop run multiple times (50K four laps, 25K two laps, 12.5K one lap). Trails are mostly double track with some single track; the route includes several bridges, a feature called Gold Fish Pond, and recurring views of Ivy Lake. The start, split and finish area are at Pavilion 2, close to large grassy areas suitable for pop-up tents and crew pit setups.

There is one aid station on the loop and the start/finish area also serves as an aid point. Participants must carry a personal water container; coolers are provided for refilling. Littering can result in disqualification. RFID chip timing will record overall and split times, and a results kiosk will provide printouts after finishing.

Each finisher receives a race shirt and an official custom medal. The first 100 registrations are guaranteed a custom race patch. Awards are given by overall top three male and female finishers and by age group categories including Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+) and Sr Master (60+). Park single-day gate fees are included with race entry; overnight camping, cabins and camper pad fees are not included and require separate reservation. Refunds and deferrals are not offered if the event occurs on its original date; military deferrals are available with orders. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
