Quitman, United States • 27 Sep 2025
Event overview
The Ivy Trek Ultra is a trail running event held at Clarkco State Park in Quitman, Mississippi. Distances offered:
- 50K
- 25K
- 12.5K
The race uses a loop format based on a 7.78 mile loop. Runners complete the loop multiple times: the 50K requires four laps, the 25K two laps, and the 12.5K one lap. RFID chip timing is used and split times are recorded. All participants receive a race shirt and a custom finisher medal; the first 100 registrants are guaranteed a race patch. Refunds and deferrals are not offered for the original event date; military deferrals are available with orders.
Course and logistics
The course is mostly double-track trails with some single-track sections, several bridges, a feature called Gold Fish Pond, and intermittent views of Ivy Lake. The terrain is described as deceptively hilly. There is one aid station on the loop and the start/finish area also serves as an aid station. Participants must bring a personal water container; coolers are provided for refilling. Camping options at the park include cabins, pads for campers, and primitive camping; overnight camping fees are separate from the event entry. A 10-hour overall time limit applies; participants who complete at least two loops may be listed as 25K finishers if they do not complete additional laps. Awards are given by gender and by age categories for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
