The Ivy Trek Ultra : Clarkco State Park, Quitman MS
The Ivy Trek Ultra is a trail running event organized by Time 2 Run Race Timing at Clarkco State Park. It offers multiple distances on a 7.78 mile loop that runners repeat to complete each race. The route is mostly double track with some single track, several bridges, the Gold Fish Pond, and recurring views of Ivy Lake. The terrain is described as deceptively hilly.
Distances:
- 50K (four laps)
- 25K (two laps)
- 12.5K (one lap)
Logistics note the start/split/finish area is adjacent to likely parking and large grassy areas suitable for tents and short-term pit setups. Clarkco State Park provides cabins, camper pads, and primitive camping; park gate fees are included with race entry while overnight camping and cabin fees are separate and require reservation through the park. Packet pickup is held at the pavilion near the start area and race morning pickup is available at the start line.
Support includes one aid station per loop plus the start/finish area as an additional aid point. Participants must carry a water container; coolers will be available to refill containers. Littering can lead to disqualification.
Timing is by RFID chip with split times and a results kiosk for printouts. Each finisher receives a custom medal and an official race shirt; the first 100 registrants receive a custom patch. There is a 10 hour course time limit and entries are generally nonrefundable or deferrable except for military with orders. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
