The Ivy Trek Ultra : Quitman, MS
The Ivy Trek Ultra is a trail running event held at Clarkco State Park near Quitman, Mississippi. The event offers the following distances:
- 50K
- 25K
- 12.5K
The course is based on a 7.78 mile loop run multiple times: the 50K is four loops, the 25K is two loops, and the 12.5K is one loop. Trails are mostly generous double track with some single track, several bridges, the Gold Fish Pond, and views that include Ivy Lake. Terrain is hilly and the route requires runners to follow the marked course; cutting across trails may result in disqualification.
The start, split, and finish area are located at Pavilion 2, adjacent to parking and large grassy areas suitable for tents or pit setups. Packet pickup is available the day before at Pavilion 2 and on race morning near the start area. Clarkco State Park day gate fees are included with entry; overnight camping, cabins, and pads are not included and must be reserved separately through the park.
Aid is provided with one aid station on the loop plus support at the start/finish; participants must carry a personal water container for refills. Timing uses RFID chip technology with split information and printed results available at a kiosk. Each finisher receives a custom medal, all participants receive an official race shirt, and the first 100 registrations are guaranteed a custom patch.
