Event Overview
The Ivy Trek Ultra is a trail running event held at Clarkco State Park near Quitman, Mississippi. The event offers three distances: 50K, 25K, and 12.5K.
Course and Location
The race takes place on trails within Clarkco State Park. The course is based on a 7.78-mile loop. Runners complete this loop multiple times depending on their chosen distance: the 50K involves four loops, the 25K involves two loops, and the 12.5K involves one loop. The trails are described as a mix of mostly double-track with some single-track, featuring several bridges and views of Ivy Lake. The start, split, and finish area is at Pavilion 2 within the park.
Event Details
Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race at Pavilion 2 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, or on race morning near the start line from 5:00 AM. Gate fees for the state park are included with race entry. There is no race day registration. The event has a 10-hour time limit; participants must start their final loop by 2:00 PM to continue.
Amenities and Awards
The event includes one aid station on the loop, with the start/finish area also serving as an aid station. Participants are required to bring their own water container for refilling from provided coolers. All finishers receive a custom race medal. Each participant receives an official race shirt. The first 100 registrations are guaranteed a custom race patch. Post-race food and drinks are provided. Awards are given for top finishers in each distance, including overall, masters (40+), grand masters (50+), and senior masters (60+) categories for both males and females.
Other Information
Camping is available on-site (cabins, RV pads, primitive sites), but fees are not included with race entry and must be reserved in advance by calling the park. Timing is provided by RFID chip.
