The Honoring our Heroes 4th Annual 5K & 2 Mile Ruck was originally scheduled for March 6, 2026 and has been postponed; the new date is listed as TBD. The event is organized by Soldiers Freedom Outdoors to raise awareness of suicide and PTSD and to support programs for service members, veterans and their families. All proceeds will go to Soldiers Freedom Outdoors and its programs.

Location, course and other details

The event is set at Camp Meridale, 1510 Camp Meridale Rd., Meridian, MS 39301. Camp Meridale is described as the Mississippi location for Soldiers Freedom Outdoors, located on 170 acres of rolling hills with natural springs. The 5K and ruck are not road events; the course is all-terrain with trails through woods, hills and uneven ground. Free refreshments and food will be available after the awards ceremony.
