Run For Hope is the 25th annual running event held on November 8, 2025, at Bonita Lakes Park in Meridian, Mississippi (66 Bonita Reservoir Rd). The event includes multiple distances and formats and is chip timed by Time 2 Run Race Timing. Race bibs and packets are distributed only to attending participants on race day; packets may be picked up on race day and should be collected before 7:45am. Parking is available at the upper lake from the bathroom to the boat landing, with additional parking near the boat landing. Access to the dam is restricted starting at 7:30am, and participants may not be able to leave the area until race staff allows it.

Race details and course information

Distances:

  • 6.2 Mi - 10K Trail Run around the upper lake on the Bonita Lakes Jeep Trail through shaded woods.
  • 3.1 Mi - 5K Road Course starting and finishing at the boat landing, including the front park area and lower lake walking track.
  • 2 Mi - 2 Mile Walk, an out-and-back route to the front of the park.
  • 1 Mi - Fun Run, out-and-back across the dam and back, approximately one mile for children.

Awards are given for the 10K and 5K (overall top male/female, masters, grand masters, and age-group top 3s), for the 2 Mile Walk (top five males and top five females), and for the Fun Run (all children receive an award at the finish and overall top male and female are recognized).
