Dick Collins Firetrails is the 42nd annual trail event presented by Scena Performance at Lake Chabot Regional Park (17936 Lake Chabot Rd). The event comprises multiple trail races on East Bay regional trails, including sections on Dinosaur Ridge, the Garin-Chabot Trail, Skyline Gate, Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park, and Rancho Laguna Park. All races are UTMB Index events. The Firetrails 50-mile race is part of the Pacific USATF Grand Prix. Time limits are set for each distance (100k 16.5 hours; 50-mile 15.5 hours; marathon 13.5 hours; 30k 6 hours) and cutoffs are firm due to park curfews. Pacers are allowed for the 100k and 50-mile with prior registration; no pacers for the marathon. Courses are marked and most aid stations are vehicle accessible; drop bags are supported at designated stations. Finishers receive event apparel and keepsakes (100k finishers also receive a rhino belt buckle); age-group awards are given by 10-year groups. Parking at Lake Chabot carries a fee.
