Community Hike & Trail Run Series - Richmond

This is a monthly outdoor meetup that combines a community hike with an optional trail run. The series is organized by FIERCE Advocates in partnership with Moving Forward and Richmond Run Club. Meetings take place at 5551 Giant Highway, Richmond, CA, on the first Saturday of select months in 2026: March 7, April 4, May 2, June 6, July 4, August 1, September 5, October 3, and November 7.

Each session begins with a brief welcome and safety notes, then participants choose between a conversational community hike with regroup points and a trail run option that follows a faster, longer route and a clear route plan. The event is listed as three hours in duration, open to all ages, and held in person with free parking available at the location.

Event details posted before each date include trailhead and parking information, route distance and elevation, and recommended items to bring. Recommended gear includes water, sturdy shoes, layered clothing, and sun protection; snacks and trekking poles are optional. Routes may change for weather or trail conditions, and participants are asked to move at their own pace and within their limits. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
