Event Overview
The Skyline 50k Endurance Run takes place on August 2, 2026, at Lake Chabot Marina in Castro Valley, California. The event offers two distances: 50K and 21K. It is described as one of the oldest continuously running 50k races in the United States.
Course and Support
The course starts and finishes at Lake Chabot Marina and forms a large loop through the East Bay Regional Parks, traveling to Skyline Gate. The event is known for its aid station support provided by various Bay Area running groups. A Volunteer Safety Patrol assists at key intersections. Post-race, past events have included a BBQ and beer at the marina.
Schedule and Logistics
A digital briefing for participants is held on Zoom and Facebook prior to the event. Optional bib pickup is available the day before at a sports store in Berkeley. Bibs can also be picked up by others or on race morning. All participants receive a race shirt, socks, and a finisher's medal. Awards are given to overall winners and age group placers.
