Stevens Creek Striders Reservoir Run

The Stevens Creek Striders Reservoir Run is a trail event at Stevens Creek County Park (Villa Maria group site) in Cupertino, CA on September 12, 2026. The event offers three distances on trails around the reservoir and nearby ridges, with shaded singletrack and open ridge sections.

Distances:

  • Half Marathon (13.2 mi) : about 2,770 ft elevation gain.
  • 11K (6.8 mi) : about 1,260 ft elevation gain.
  • Lollipop Loop (2.5 mi) : about 250 ft elevation gain.

The Half Marathon includes several steep ascents and aid stations located roughly every few miles. The 11K and Lollipop Loop also have aid or water stops, with the Lollipop Loop featuring a midway lollipop checkpoint. All aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink, gels, bars, and snacks. The event has a cup-free policy; runners are strongly encouraged to carry a water bottle.

The race is USATF sanctioned, follows Trail Sisters standards, and is part of the USATF Pacific MUT Grand Prix series. Timing is hand-timed using Ultrasignup software. The Half Marathon and 11K fields are capped at 150 combined entrants. Lollipop Loop and children’s race registration occurs on race day and benefits California Fire Relief.

Post-race offerings include a shared barbecue with meat and vegan burgers, race swag including custom socks, placings and prizes for top finishers, and finisher certificates for Lollipop participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
