Stevens Creek Striders Reservoir Run

The Stevens Creek Striders Reservoir Run is a trail race at Stevens Creek Reservoir in Cupertino, CA, held on September 12, 2026. The event offers three distances that use park trails including shaded single track on Tony Look and open views from Coyote Ridge. The half marathon includes several steep ascents and substantial elevation gain; aid stations are placed every few miles on the longer courses.

Key event features:

  • Half Marathon (13.2 mi) : about 2,770 ft elevation, multiple aid stations.
  • 11K (6.8 mi) : about 1,260 ft elevation, two aid stations.
  • Lollipop Loop (2.5 mi) : about 250 ft elevation, water and lollipops at midpoint.

The race is USATF sanctioned, follows Trail Sisters standards, and is part of the USATF Mountain Ultra Trail Grand Prix schedule. Timing is hand-timed using Ultrasignup software. The field for the Half Marathon and 11K is capped at 150 runners; the Lollipop Loop and children’s race have day of registration and serve as a charity run. Disposable cups will not be provided at aid stations and runners are encouraged to carry a water bottle.

Additional notes: race shirts and other swag are available, top three finishers receive prizes by gender category including non binary, there is a post race BBQ with meat and vegan burgers, and there are donation and shoe collection programs supporting wildfire relief and Soles for Good.
