Race Thru the Redwoods

Race Thru the Redwoods is a community running event on August 16, 2026, in Felton, California, with a start and finish at Roaring Camp Railroads (5401 Graham Hill Road). The main 10K course runs largely beneath the redwood canopy in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. The event is organized by the Felton Business and Community Association with help from local volunteers.

The event includes a pancake breakfast provided by the Zayante Fire Department; the breakfast is included with race registration and a late brunch option is available to non-participants for a separate fee. Organizers compile photos and videos from the day into an album to share after the event. Proceeds from the race support the Felton Business and Community Association and help fund free community events and local traditions.

The event is open to runners, walkers, joggers, and strollers. Course maps for each distance are available through the published route information.

Run for Amma is a charity trail event on May 16, 2026 at Skyline Ridge Open Space Preserve near Los Gatos. Multiple distances from 10K to 50K are offered and all registration proceeds support UCSF cancer research.

A point-to-point Half Marathon on May 16, 2026 in Almaden Quicksilver County Park, running from Mt. Umunhum down to the Hacienda Entrance with 1,909 ft of ascent, marked ribbons, aid stations and a 5.5-hour time limit.

A multi-distance trail event at Calero County Park in San Jose on May 30, 2026, featuring single track, dirt paths and hilly terrain up to 50K, with aid stations, free parking and drop bag support for the 50K.

A trail event at Almaden-Quicksilver County Park on June 7, 2025 offering distances from 5K to 50K, steep climbs, marked courses, aid stations, and toilet facilities. The 52 mile race is not held in 2025 and is planned to return in 2026.
