Santa Cruz Trail Run : Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park

The event offers three trail distances through Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in Felton, CA. The course passes through giant redwoods, twisting single track that opens to wider roads and paths, river crossings, and high ridges with views that include ocean breezes from the Santa Cruz coast.

Aid stations are placed approximately every 5 to 6 miles and provide a range of foods and drinks such as energy gels and chews, trail mix, pretzels, potato chips, cookies, cola, ginger ale, water, electrolyte mix, sandwiches, fruit, and salt tablets. Runners are advised to carry at least one 20 oz bottle due to variable distances between aid stations. The 30K course has a six hour time limit.

Parking inside Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is available for a $10.00 fee, with limited parking along Highway 9 outside the park; carpooling from nearby Felton or Santa Cruz is suggested. Early bib pickup is offered at Fleet Feet Aptos. A registration deadline applies to guarantee a race shirt and requested size.

Awards include custom trophies for the top three overall finishers by gender for each distance, special items for top finishers, custom finisher medals for all finishers, a Dead Last Finisher award, and age-group medals in standard age brackets.
