Berkeley Trail Adventure
Berkeley Trail Adventure is a trail running event hosted by Inside Trail Racing at Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley, CA. Courses traverse shaded oak and eucalyptus sections and open areas that can offer views of the bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Mt. Tamalpais on clear days. The event offers the following distances:
- 50K
- 35K
- Half Marathon
- 10K
Aid stations are stocked and placed approximately every 5 to 7 miles with gels, chews, snacks, sports drink, water, and general first aid supplies. The event is cupless; runners must carry their own bottle or reusable cup. Reusable cups will be available for purchase at the event for $5. Organizers recommend carrying at least one 20 oz bottle during a run.
The race has a capacity of 350 entrants across all distances and a published 8.5 hour time limit for the 50K distance. Parking is available free of charge at Lake Anza in Tilden Park. Early bib pickup is scheduled for Friday, September 11 at Sports Basement in Berkeley, and race morning check-in occurs at Lake Anza. Race shirts are tri-blend performance tees; registering by August 29 guarantees a shirt and size. Entry fees are non-refundable; a 50 percent credit toward a future Inside Trail Racing event may be issued for cancellations received at least three weeks before the race, subject to expiration rules.
