The Berkeley Trail Adventure is a trail running event held on September 12, 2026, in Tilden Regional Park and Wildcat Canyon in Berkeley, California. The event offers multiple measured distances across natural terrain and has a total field capacity of 350 participants.
Distances:
- 50K 31.0 miles, 6,800 ft elevation gain

Most of the courses run on technical dirt trails and on non-technical fire roads. The 35K and 50K include about 1.5 miles of asphalt near Inspiration Point. Courses are marked with colored ribbons and laminated signs at complex intersections. Hiking poles are permitted.
Aid stations are spaced roughly every 5 to 7 miles and provide a variety of food and drink such as energy gels, Stroopwafels, trail mix, PB&J sandwiches, potato snacks, soda, water, and Skratch Labs hydration. The race is cupless; runners must carry their own reusable cup or bottle. Reusable cups will be available for purchase at the event.
Logistics include free parking at Lake Anza in Tilden Park and an early bib pickup at Sports Basement Berkeley the day before the race. There is an 8.5 hour time limit for the 50K distance. Awards include custom medals for all finishers, trophies for top three overall at each distance, age-group medals, and a pint glass for 50K finishers.
