The Crystal Springs Trail Run takes place on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Huddart Park (Werder Shelter), 1100 Kings Mountain Road, Woodside, CA 94062. Distances offered:

Check-in and bib/shirt pick-up begin at 7:00 a.m. at the Werder Shelter. Parking is $6 per vehicle. No dogs are allowed in the park. There is no bag check; non-valuables may be left at the start/finish.

Course, logistics and awards

Courses run through Huddart Park, King's Mountain and Bear Gulch and are marked with ribbon about every 200 yards. Polka-dot flagging marks turns; blue ribbons mark the wrong way. Headphones are allowed only on dirt road sections and are not allowed on single-track trail, when crossing paved roads, at aid stations, or when crossing the finish line. Bib numbers indicate the chosen distance; changes must be requested by email or at check-in.

Elevation gain and surface breakdown:

  • 8K: 710' gain; single track, dirt road, asphalt.
  • Half Marathon: 2,190' gain.
  • 35K: 2,990' gain.
  • Marathon: 3,790' gain.
  • 50K: 4,530' gain.

Aid stations are fully stocked every 5 to 9 miles with fruit, salty snacks, candy, water, and Skratch drink. Runners are advised to carry at least 20 oz. of water between aid stations. The event is cupless; participants should bring their own means of carrying fluids. Pre-registered runners receive shirts. All finishers receive custom medals; 50K finishers also receive a custom coaster. Overall and age-group awards are given, and finish times are recorded with MyLaps bib tags.
