Lake Chabot Trail Run
The Lake Chabot Trail Run takes place in Castro Valley, California, at the Lake Chabot Regional Park. The event course begins at the Marina area and guides participants around the Lake Chabot reservoir and into the surrounding hills. All course distances are measured using a Rolatape surveyor's measuring wheel to ensure accuracy.
Participants can choose from several trail running distances:
- 50K (31 miles)
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
- 30K (17.9 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 8K (5 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 2 Miles
- 50 Yards (For children 6 years old and younger)
The varied distances accommodate a wide range of interests, from short dashes to ultramarathon lengths. The terrain primarily consists of trails circling the reservoir and traversing the local elevation. Registration remains open until early April for most distances, while the children's dash and the two-mile event allow registration up until the day of the event.
