Elevation gain and surface vary by distance: the 8K lists 380 feet of gain while the 50K lists 3,280 feet. Course surfaces combine single track, dirt road, and asphalt in different proportions depending on the distance. The route is marked with ribbon about every 200 yards and color-coded loops; polka-dot flagging indicates turns and blue ribbons mark wrong-way junctions.

Aid stations are fully stocked every 4 to 5 miles with fruit, salty snacks, candy, water, and electrolyte drink; runners are recommended to carry at least 20 oz of water between stations. The event is cupless; participants should bring a personal cup or soft flask. Drop bags are allowed for the 30K, marathon, and 50K at the start/finish. Pre-registered runners receive shirts, all finishers receive a custom medal, and 50K finishers also receive a custom coaster. Parking is $5 per vehicle.
