SF Half Day

The SF Half Day is a fixed-time running and walking event held at Crissy Field in San Francisco. Participants gather at East Beach in the East Bluff picnic area to complete laps on a one-mile loop. This course takes participants along the promenade and around the lagoon, offering views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, Alcatraz, and the San Francisco Bay. The course is officially recognized with USATF Certification CA18040RS.

The event structure allows participants to move at their own pace for the duration of their selected time block. Registration is available for individuals and teams of two to four members. Team participants use a shared race belt to attach their team bib, which must be transferred to the next member at the timing mat located at the start and finish line. Each member of a team is required to complete at least one lap during the event.

Available event categories include:

  • 3-hour solo and team options
  • 6-hour solo and team options
  • 12-hour solo and team options

The format focuses on total distance covered within the designated time frame rather than a set finishing distance. This allows participants to complete as many or as few laps as they choose. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
