The Napa Lapa Trail Adventure, August 8, 2026

The Napa Lapa Trail Adventure is a time based trail running event at Skyline Wilderness Park in Napa, California on August 8, 2026. Instead of a fixed distance, participants run as far as they can within a set time period on a looped course.

Event options include:

  • 12 Hour Relay teams of 2 or 3
  • 6 Hour
  • 6 Hour Relay teams of 2
  • 3 Hour

Each main loop is just over 4.1 miles. A small 0.34 mile loop is opened for the final 40 minutes of each event. Each lap has approximately 815 feet of elevation gain. Course maps, elevation profiles, and lap charts are provided by the organizer.

Relay teams use a single bib that is passed between runners and may choose their own exchange pattern. Aid stations offer a variety of nutrition and hydration options including Skratch Hydration Mix, Spring Energy products, snacks, and water. Organizers encourage runners to carry at least one 20 oz bottle.

Awards include custom trophies for top overall finishers, bottles of Omen Wine for distance winners (21+), custom finisher medals, age group medals, a Dapper Lapper best dressed award, and a Dead Last Finisher award. Race shirts are tri blend performance tees; to guarantee a shirt and size, registration must be completed by July 25, 2026. Camping reservations are handled through Skyline Wilderness Park. Trail runs nearby

Trail endurance races at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline offering 12 hour, 6 hour and 3 hour options for individuals or teams of two or three. The 3.37 mile loop runs mostly on dirt fire trails with shoreline views and eucalyptus groves.

Monthly community hikes with an optional trail-run pace in Richmond, organized by FIERCE Advocates with Moving Forward and Richmond Run Club. Route details and gear recommendations are shared with registrants ahead of each meetup.

A steep 4.75 mile up and down run, hike, or walk on San Anselmo's Bald Hill that finishes downtown with live music and a t shirt. The third annual event benefits local nonprofits and includes town endorsement.

A PA/USATF cross country race of 3.4 miles at Spring Lake Regional Park in Santa Rosa on August 30, 2026. The 33rd annual Empire Open features rugged dirt trails, three races including a masters division, and a $1,500 prize purse for USATF..
