Trail Running Calendar United States 2026-2027

A two day festival in Shawnee Ohio on the Buckeye Trail featuring a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, a 10 Mile Hike and a backpacking workshop. Events occur on mostly single track trail within the Wayne National Forest.

An evening ruck march on September 25, 2026 at Gov. Dick with 8 mile, 4 mile, and junior divisions; weighted rucks are required for prize eligibility and proceeds support The Knights of the Kingdom and Gov. Dick.

A fall weekend of trail running and camping in the Sawtooth Backcountry, staged from Foggy Dew Campground with guided routes, glamp style camp amenities, shuttles, and three distance options.

An on campus 16th annual event in Oxford Michigan offering a 5K run or walk, a 5K obstacle course, and a virtual 5K. The course uses trails, meadows and hills and includes chip timing, prizes, and finisher medals.

This self supported 36 hour event in Casper features a 3 mile out and back loop on the Platte River Trail. Participation is free and limited to 10 runners who manage their own supplies and tracking.

A one-day mountain challenge covering five peaks around Westmore, Vermont, with a full route of 26 miles and about 6,142 feet of gain. The course has staffed water and aid stations, limited entry to protect trails, and on-campus camping.

A multi distance trail and ultramarathon festival on the Rainbow Trail near Westcliffe, Colorado on September 26 and 27, 2026, featuring races from 8 miles to 100 miles, aid stations, drop bags, camping, and defined crew and volunteer rules..

A community fundraiser at Westchester Lagoon on September 26, 2026, featuring 2K and 5K runs along the coastal trail to support Anchorage School District language immersion programs.

A mountain ultramarathon in Crested Butte, Colorado on September 26, 2026, offered in 35K, 55K and 50 mile distances. Courses run through Gunnison National Forest with single track trails, alpine meadows, cupless aid stations, and on course..

A 24 hour trail ultramarathon at Hinson Lake in Rockingham NC on a USATF certified 1.5032 mile loop featuring electronic timing, night chem light markings, a 500 runner cap and awards for 24 hour and 100 K finishers.

Experience the rolling hills and dense forests of Pennsylvania at the Marilla Reservoir. This event features off road courses ending at a historic covered bridge with proceeds supporting local trail maintenance and development.
