Course and location

The races take place on trails and forest roads around Buena Vista. The course runs through the San Isabel National Forest, Salida Ranger District, Bureau of Land Management lands, and the town of Buena Vista. The route includes miles of single track and forest roads and offers views of the Collegiate Peaks. The area also contains arid, desert-style trails just outside of Buena Vista.

The West Line Winder is permitted by the United States Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the Upper Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area, and the town of Buena Vista.
