Packet pickup is held on race day at Crested Butte Community School, 818 Red Lady Avenue. The finish line is at the same location as the start. Entries are non-transferable and a photo ID is required to receive a race packet. Runners must attach their timing chip to their shoe to receive an official time.

Course and logistics

Courses traverse trails in the Gunnison National Forest and pass through mountain meadows and ridges. Lower elevations feature wildflowers and fall foliage. The event is authorized under a special use permit with the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forests.

Aid stations operate cupless. Water dispensers are located at the start/finish and at every aid station; runners should bring a reusable cup, bottle, or bladder.
