Golden Leaf Half Marathon

The Golden Leaf Half Marathon is a road running event presented by ACG and hosted by the Ute Mountaineer and the City of Aspen. The race is held in late September and the 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026.

The course begins at Fanny Hill in Snowmass, continues along the Government Trail through Aspen groves, and finishes at Koch Lumber Park in downtown Aspen. The event is described as a half marathon distance and includes route support from sponsors including Scratch Labs and Darn Tough Vermont.

A three-day Leadville training camp (June 19-21, 2026) with guided day and night runs, course sections, expert discussions, on-course nutrition, and event swag; minimum age 17 and general registration is sold out.

A high altitude trail marathon and 15.46 mile Heavy Half through Leadville’s historic mining district, topping out at 13,185 feet on Mosquito Pass. General registration is sold out and a waitlist is available.

A Fourth of July 5K in downtown Leadville, CO, held above 10,000 feet. Proceeds support local youth athletics and youth entries are free.
