Golden Leaf Half Marathon

The Golden Leaf Half Marathon is presented by ACG and hosted by the Ute Mountaineer and the City of Aspen. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026. Registration opens April 28, 2026; in-store price is $80 and online price is $105. Registrations sell out quickly and the race is held in late September each year.

The course starts at Fanny Hill in Snowmass, follows the Government Trail through aspen groves, and finishes at Koch Lumber Park in downtown Aspen. The route passes through wooded areas and town parkland along the Government Trail.

Additional event support is provided by Scratch Labs and Darn Tough Vermont. Local lodging partners offer race-related discounts: Aspen Meadows Resort requires a two night minimum for the special rate, Aspen Square offers a 10 percent discount on select room types with a two night minimum and a 35 percent deposit at booking plus a 14 day cancellation policy, and the Tyrolean Lodge lists race support and requests direct contact for rates and availability with a two night minimum.

Mountain Fair 4 Miler in Carbondale follows Prince Creek Road into town with a finish at Sopris Park. Shuttle service to the start is available and proceeds benefit Carbondale Arts.

A two day running event in Snowmass Village on August 7 and 8, 2026 offering 3.76k, 5k and a single 10k plus an 18.76k challenge. Finishers receive a free New Belgium brew and event medals; proceeds support local nonprofits.

A traditional pack-burro race in Leadville, Colorado at over 10,000 feet where each team is one runner and one burro carrying mining tools. The long course is about 21 miles and a shorter 6 to 8 mile course is planned.
