Rubey Rescue Run

Rubey Rescue Run is a Halloween-themed event in Aspen centered on running and walking with options for participants to bring dogs. The event starts at Koch Park, 199 W. Cooper Avenue, and the course goes through the Marolt foot path and Moore open space. Net proceeds benefit the Friend of the Aspen Animal Shelter.

Distances offered:

  • 3.5 miles trail run (timed; cash prizes for top three men and women)

The course includes significant elevation gain and multiple aid stations. Water stations for both dogs and humans are located at mile 1, mile 2.2, and at the Cliff House. Attendees are asked to bring their own water bottle; dog bowls will be provided at the aid stations. Prizes are awarded on the Cliff House deck, including awards for best pet costumes and cash prizes for top finishers in the timed race. Additional features listed by the organizer include raffle prizes and food trucks.
