Leadville Trail 10K Run

The Leadville Trail 10K Run on August 16, 2026 is the shortest event in the Leadville Race Series. The race is an out and back that uses the first and final 3.1 miles of the LT100 Run course and follows a mix of paved and dirt roads. The course distance is 10 km (6.2 miles), with 475 feet of elevation gain, a lowest point at 9,734 feet, and a highest point at 10,135 feet.

One aid station is provided at the turnaround, and additional liquids will be available on the Courthouse lawn. Aid station offerings include water; Neversecond energy gels and high-carbohydrate beverage mix; Skratch Labs hydration, bars, and chews; and assorted foods such as bananas, figs, pretzels, chips, and cola products. Wheelchair participation is not permitted on this course. Roads will not be fully closed to vehicle traffic, so participants should be aware of intersections.

Logistics include early packet pickup at 135 E 6th Street and packet pickup on the Courthouse lawn at the race venue. A free Kids Dash is held with the 10K start. Awards are presented to overall male and female finishers and to age group top finishers across multiple categories, including non-binary and para divisions. Minimum age to enter is 12 on race day. General registration opened January 9, 2026; the event price is listed at $70 and the 2026 deferral deadline is August 13, 2026. Volunteers are invited to assist with race operations.
