1876 Centennial Run
The 1876 Centennial Run is a series of multi-distance trail runs held at the New Belgium Ranger Station in Snowmass Village, Colorado. Organized by the Colorado Brewery Running Series in partnership with the town of Snowmass, the event commemorates the 150th anniversary of the State of Colorado.
Participants can choose from several distances:
- 3.76 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 18.76 km Challenge
These are untimed fun runs conducted on an open course, meaning roads remain open to public traffic. The routes utilize single-track bike trails, ski slopes, and mountain access roads, featuring significant elevation changes, mountain ascents, and descents. Due to the terrain, the course is not suitable for running strollers. Course markings and volunteers are positioned at major turns and trail intersections, with water stations available on the 10 km and 5 km routes.
Participants who complete all three primary distances (3.76k, 5k, and 10k) over the two-day period finish the 18.76 km Challenge and receive a specialized four-piece medal. Registration include a craft beverage at the finish line, a race bib, and a finisher medal. The event also features live music, local vendors, and door prizes. A portion of the proceeds from the event supports local Colorado non-profits. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
