Run For Freedom - Freedom Hills Ministries

Run For Freedom at Freedom Hills Ministries is a trail race event held in September 2026. The event is presented as the 2nd Annual Freedom Hills Ministries Trail Races and is designated a MORM Timed event. The 1 Mile Kid's Fun Run is specifically timed by Freedom Hills staff. Check-in and registration are required and close before each race.

Distances and entry fees:

  • 1 Mile Kid's Fun Run - $20 entry
  • 5K - $45 entry
  • 10K - $65 entry
  • Ultimate Challenger - run a 5K every hour for 12 hours

The 1 Mile Kid's Fun Run uses age brackets 10 and under, and 11 to 14, with prizes for the top three boys and top three girls in each bracket. The 5K and 10K list age groups including 14 and under, 15 to 29, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, and 50 plus. Prizes are awarded to top male and top female finishers in each bracket for the 5K and 10K. All races award a finisher medal to each participant.

Trail runs nearby

Experience a trail race along the largest inland beach in Ohio at Alum Creek State Park. Choose from distances ranging from 5K to a half marathon or join a relay team to run through scenic shale cliffs.

Trail runs at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park offering 5k and 10k distances and supporting FLIP's cancer prevention work. The 5k is relatively flat and family friendly while the 10k finishes with a stair climb noted by local runners.

Arch City XC Festival brings elementary, middle, high school and open two-mile races to Westerville North High School on July 25, 2026, with team scoring for middle and high school and proceeds supporting school programs.

A backyard ultra on a 4.167 mile loop at Alum Creek State Park where runners repeat the loop each hour until only one completes an extra loop. Each loop must be finished within an hour and standard backyard ultra rules apply.
