Tuscazoar 100 : Camp Tuscazoar, Tuscarawas County

The event is an endurance race held at Camp Tuscazoar in the hills of Tuscarawas County. The course is a 25 mile loop that is roughly 95% trail. Most of the route stays on Camp Tuscazoar property with a single 5.5 mile section on private property.

Distances offered:

  • 100 mile
  • 75 mile
  • 50 mile with a day or night start option
  • 25 mile with a day or night start option

Aid stations are placed around the loop with crew access at some locations and no crew access at others. A main aid station and start/finish area is located at Kimble Hall; there is parking and crew access at several aid stations and a secondary aid station at the Tuscazoar Preserve. Drop bags are handled at Kimble Hall for miles 25, 50, and 75 and there is a separate drop bag location for the Preserve aid station. The race operates as cupless; runners should carry personal hydration and a reusable cup. Cups for warm soup and coffee will be provided.

No refunds are offered. A full credit to the following year is allowed up to three weeks before the race. Runners may change their chosen distance before their race start; after the race starts failure to complete the originally entered distance is recorded as a DNF and no finisher medal is awarded.

Pacers are permitted only for the 100 mile and 75 mile distances with restrictions on where they may join and leave, limits on when they may accompany a runner, and waiver requirements.

Finishers receive awards: belt buckles for 100 and 75 mile finishers and medals for 50 and 25 mile finishers. Overall and age group awards are given and many awards are containers of maple syrup produced on Camp Tuscazoar. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
