Tuscazoar Endurance Race : September 5, 2026

The Tuscazoar Endurance Race is an annual ultrarunning event held at Camp Tuscazoar in Tuscarawas County near Dover, Ohio. The race uses a 25 mile loop that is about 95% trail. Runners remain mostly on camp property with a single 5.5 mile section on private land. The 2024 course revision was retained for this edition.

Distances offered include:

  • 100 mile
  • 75 mile
  • 50 mile
  • 50 mile Night
  • 25 mile
  • 25 mile Night

Cutoff windows are set by distance: 34 hours for the 100 and 75 mile events, 32 hours for the 50 mile, 31 hours for the 25 mile, and 21 hours for the night 50 and 25 events. All finishers receive awards; belt buckles for 100 and 75 mile finishers and medals for 50 and 25 mile finishers. Overall male and female awards are given per distance and age-group prizes are awarded for 1st and 2nd place by decade.

Race logistics include a cupless policy so runners must carry personal hydration and a reusable cup; cups for hot items will be provided. Drop bags are handled at Kimble Hall and at the Preserve aid station and are available approximately at miles 25, 50, and 75. Pacers are allowed for the 100 and 75 mile races with specific rules about where they may join, one pacer at a time, and waiver requirements.

There is a Tuscazoar Series combining this event with two other races; entrants who sign up for all three at once receive a series discount and award. GPX course sections and aid station locations are provided by the organizer. Camping at Camp Tuscazoar requires separate registration; a variety of primitive and cabin options are available.
