Tuscazoar Endurance Race - Camp Tuscazoar, Dover OH
The Tuscazoar Endurance Race is held at Camp Tuscazoar and uses a 25 mile loop for its distances. The course is primarily trail based, with about 95 percent trail surface. Most laps remain on camp property, with a single 5.5 mile section that crosses private land.
Distances offered include:
- 100 Miler
- 75 Miler
- 50 Mile Night
- 50 Miler
- 25 Mile Night
- 25 Miler
Cutoff policies apply by distance, with extended limits for the longest events and shorter limits for night distances. A course close occurs on Sunday. Drop bags are managed from the main aid area inside Kimble Hall and at the Tuscazoar Preserve aid station; bags are shuttled to the Preserve after the start of each race and may need to be retrieved there after finishing.
The event is cupless; runners should carry personal hydration and a reusable cup for aid stations. Pacers are permitted for the 100 and 75 mile distances only, not before mile 50, one pacer at a time, and pacers must sign a liability waiver. All finishers receive awards; 100 and 75 mile finishers receive belt buckles, 50 and 25 mile finishers receive medals, and overall and age group awards are given.
No refunds are offered. Deferrals with full credit to the next year are allowed up to three weeks before the race. Camping is available through Camp Tuscazoar and other local lodging options are nearby. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
