A mission-oriented obstacle course weekend in Southern Ohio on June 27-28, 2026 featuring a 1.5-mile Battle Challenge with a live fire range, a 3k speed OCR, large water slides, mud rig obstacles and championship-level course elements.

A 30K trail race at Mount Airy Forest in Cincinnati made of three 10K loops. Finishers receive a t-shirt and medal; the race counts toward the Alpine Trail Race Series and awards series points.

A backyard ultra at Countryside YMCA in Lebanon, Ohio where runners complete 4.1667 mile loops each hour until one remains, with traditional last runner standing and fixed 12 hour and 24 hour options.

On June 28, 2026 at Brecksville Reservation, Buckeye Trail features trail races of 25k and 50k as part of the Ohio Endurance Series. The 50k began in 1994 and is recognized as Ohio's oldest trail 50k.

A Score-O orienteering event on 28 June 2026 in Camden, Ohio, hosted by the Miami Valley Orienteering Club. Participants use map and compass to collect controls within a two hour limit; maps, chip timing, and loaner compasses are provided.

July 2026

A trail 5K and one mile run at Wooster Memorial Park on July 4, 2026, with part of entries supporting The Friends Wooster Memorial Park. Finishers receive a custom hat and the 5K awards top three male and female finishers.

A Trail Sisters approved summer trail ultra at Caesar Creek State Park offering 50 mile and 50k counterclockwise loops, cupless aid stations with food options, and 14.5 hour cutoffs. Expect single-track rollers and two manned aid stations.

A community 5K at Homecoming Park in Wauseon on July 11, 2026 that combines a scenic run through wooded trails and grassy areas with workshops on butterflies, garden care, post-race refreshments, prizes, and food trucks.

Akron Trail Marathon on July 11, 2026 offers marathon, half marathon, and 10K routes that leave downtown and run along the Towpath into Summit Metro Parks with limestone trail sections and rugged hills.

Trail runs at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park offering 5k and 10k distances and supporting FLIP's cancer prevention work. The 5k is relatively flat and family friendly while the 10k finishes with a stair climb noted by local runners.

Experience the natural beauty of Findley State Park on a scenic trail course around the lake. Choose from various running and hiking distances to support local park conservation and enjoy handcrafted medals.

The Flock of Flamingos will take place in Parma on Saturday 11 July 2026. You can run 5 miles.

A 5K trail race on July 12, 2026 at Stillwater Prairie Reserve in Covington, OH, as part of the Miami County Park District Trail Run Challenge. Multiple pricing and series options are offered; no dogs are allowed.

A two lap trail event at McDonough Wildlife Refuge in Vienna WV on July 18, 2026. The course is a 4 mile loop through forest and duck marshes with up to 430 feet elevation gain per loop and at least two aid stations.

A 100-minute looped running event at Williams Park in Gibsonburg where laps are recorded on a 0.9 mile loop. Entry is $25 and proceeds support a local foundation; all finishers receive awards and post-run food is provided.

Trail races at Oakes Quarry Park in Fairborn, Ohio offering 5K, 10K and 15K courses through limestone cliffs and wooded trails. Early registration by July 10 includes a short sleeve race shirt; all finishers receive a medal.

A second annual cross country event at Seven Hills Recreation Center with a 5K and a 1-mile family walk. The course includes grass, gravel and a short wooded trail, with entertainment and midday food trucks during the Home Days Event.

A timed 5K at Patricia Allyn Park on July 19, 2026, with online and day of registration. Current ORRRC members run free; non members 15 and up pay $10.

A four-week Wednesday evening cross-country series at Ward Athletic Complex in Columbiana with chip-timed 3K and 5K races, weekly registration of $10 or $40 for all four weeks, and awards across multiple age divisions.

Experience a scenic trail journey through Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Summit Metro Parks. Choose from 100 mile, 50 mile, marathon, or relay distances in this historic Northeast Ohio endurance event.
