Deer Trail Run Half Marathon and Trail Races
The Deer Trail Run events take place at Mt. Airy Forest Playground in Cincinnati. Mt. Airy Forest covers nearly 1,500 acres and has an extensive trail system. The races are part of the Alpine Trail Race Series Season 3.
Available race distances include:
- 5K trail race
- 10K trail race
- Half marathon 13.1 Miles, two loops of the 10K route
- 30K three loops of the 10K route
All finishers receive a finisher medal. Half marathon and 30K finishers receive a finisher t shirt; t shirts for other distances are available for purchase. To receive a custom t shirt on race day, registrations must be completed at least 12 business days before the event; later registrations will receive shirts shipped after the race.
The event uses a course time limit of 5 hours. Entry fees are non refundable and the organizer reserves the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. Walkers are welcome and no dogs are allowed on the course. All participants must complete registration on RunSignup. The 5K and 10K races use themed formats and a best costume award is presented at each live race.
The Alpine Trail Race Series runs annually from March 1 to October 31. Participants who complete qualifying ATR races earn series points toward year end awards; top three in each age and gender category receive series awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
