Down & Dirty 5 Mile & 10 Mile
The Down & Dirty event takes place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Oak Hill Trail Head in Peninsula, Ohio, inside Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The event includes two distance options:
- Down and Dirty 5 Mile
- Down and Dirty 10 Mile
Entry fees listed are $35 for the 5 Mile and $60 for the 10 Mile. The event is part of the Dirty Trail Series and is staged at the Oak Hill area, noted for varied terrain.
The course starts with a fast descent into the valley, followed by a long uphill climb, and then meanders over twisting, rooted trails to the finish. Finisher swag includes a medal plus one of the following: triblend tee, travel mug, or CVNP water bottle. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in five year age groups from 14 and under through 70 and over. Donations from the event benefit the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
