Trail Running Calendar Arizona 2026-2027

Join the 48th annual run and walk through the scenic trails of Flagstaff. Support the local Children's Health Center while participating in a 10K, 5K, or 2K event at Fort Tuthill or virtually.

Night trail races at White Tank Mountain Regional Park offering 6K to 52K on a 6.5 mile Sonoran loop with technical terrain, stocked aid stations, live tracking, camping availability, and cupless race protocol.

A historic Flagstaff race on August 8 with half marathon, 5K and Kid's Dash options on Observatory Mesa. Proceeds support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff and participants receive shirts, photos and medals.

A 10K run and walk at Hopi Cancer Support Services in Kykotsmovi, AZ supporting the Hopi Cancer Assistance Fund. The course gains about 725 feet, includes mixed terrain, a return shuttle, and post event activities.

The Insomniac Night Series will take place in Cave Creek on Saturday 8 August 2026. You can run between 6 and 52 kilometers.

A non competitive two mile run in Window Rock, Arizona on August 14, 2026, honoring the Navajo Code Talkers. Registration includes a performance shirt, sticker, post race snacks and a poster option.

A 50K trail race in Prescott, Arizona on August 15, 2026, covering 31.7 miles with about 4,500 feet of climbing. The route starts and finishes at Thumb Butte Trailhead and includes three aid stations along the course.

A USA Track & Field Mountain Ultra Trail sanctioned uphill race at Arizona Snowbowl, roughly 11 miles of ascent with limited entry for 150 runners on August 15, 2026. The course features high elevation, aid stations, and a summit finish.

A monthly Friday evening 5K series at Arizona Falls with live chip timing, three collectible desert-themed medals, and a virtual option. The events raise funds for Child Crisis Arizona.

Fixed-time 6- and 12-hour runs on a flat 500 m crushed-gravel loop at historic Nardini Manor on Aug 22, 2026, with on-course aid, cupless policy and free parking.

Unity 5K Lakeside is a community run and walk on 08/22/2026 in Lakeside, Arizona following the Turkey Track loop to Walnut Creek with a post event lunch at Woodland Lake Park.

A free community run at Piestewa Peak where participants climb the summit repeatedly during a six hour window. On-course refreshments, giveaways, and Everyday Ultra coaches run alongside participants.

A mud run held with the Apache County Fair in Saint Johns, AZ on August 29 2026, featuring competitive and family races. Pre registration is $15 per person until August 26 with day entries at $20 and a 20% team discount.

A 4.5 miles hill course in Jerome that starts at the Historical Museum, follows town streets and a dirt road past the Gold King Mine, and finishes at a viewpoint overlooking Sedona. Limited parking and two on-course water stations.

Trail races of 102.3 miles and 42 km along the Mogollon Rim near Pine, Arizona featuring technical single track, high elevation and substantial total climb.

Trail races through aspens near Fort Valley Trailhead in Flagstaff, AZ offering 6K, 10K, 20K, 30K and 50K courses with looped routes and aid stations no more than 7 miles apart.
