Pup-A-Go 5k Hike/Run
The Pup-A-Go event on January 10, 2027 is a community 5K hike and run at Papago Park in Phoenix, AZ. GhostHead Productions organizes the event in partnership with Home Fur Good; a portion of registration fees will be donated to this no kill animal shelter. This is the third annual Pup-A-Go 5k.
Participants may run, jog, or hike solo or with dogs. Dogs must be vaccinated, kept on a leash at all times, and owners are asked to pick up after their pets. Doggie poop bags will be available at the start.
The course is one counterclockwise loop around Papago Park and finishes at the start area. The route will be marked at critical junctions. An aid station at the start will offer cold water, hydration mix, snacks, and bananas; there are no other aid stations on the course, so participants should plan their hydration and fuel accordingly. Restrooms will be set up at the start.
Additional parking is available across the street at 625 N Galvin Pkwy, a short five minute walk to the start. Event details note that the event will take place rain or shine and that refunds are not offered for cancellations. All paid 5K entrants will receive a Pup-A-Go sticker and a commemorative Pup-A-Go / Home Fur Good swag item, though entries on the last advertised registration day may not guarantee swag.
