Coldwater Rumble Trail Runs
Coldwater Rumble is a multi-distance trail running event held January 16–17, 2027 at Estrella Mountain Regional Park in Goodyear, Arizona. Races use desert trails in the foothills of the Sierra Estrella mountain range and run on recently re-worked sections of trail.
Distances offered include:
- 100 Mile
- 100K
- 50K
- 20 Mile
- 10 Mile
- 5 Mile
The 100 Mile course combines two 10 mile red loops followed by three 27 mile blue loops; runners pass the start/finish area four times. Surfaces include crushed granite single track, rocks, boulders, sandy washes, old jeep roads, and dry wash beds. A 1.5–2 mile section called Corgett Wash can be very sandy. Gaiters are suggested; hiking poles are allowed.
Event support features well stocked aid stations, chip timing with live split points, staffed medical presence, and course photographers. Drop bags are allowed at the main Rumble headquarters for all distances; remote drop bags are available for longer events. Crews may support runners at the start/finish and at one remote aid location with restrictions; pacers are permitted for the 100 Mile and 100K during later laps. The 100 Mile event has an overall time limit of 32 hours and other distances have shorter time limits. Camping and limited tent or cot rentals are available at the start/finish area.
