Ascot Hills Challenge 5K

The Ascot Hills Challenge 5K is a trail running event held at Ascot Hills Park in Los Angeles, located at 4371 Multnomah St, 90032. The event uses a 3.1 mile trail course within the park and is open to runners, walkers, and hikers.

The event is chip-timed for participants seeking recorded times. Organizers award a commemorative LAFD challenge coin as part of the competition offerings.

Proceeds benefit the Wilson High School Fire and Police Magnet Cadet Program and Ascot Hills Park. The Los Angeles Unified School District and the Los Angeles Fire Department have partnered to bring a LAFD fire academy magnet school program to Woodrow Wilson High School in El Sereno, joining the existing Los Angeles Police Department student police cadet program.

From within the park, the course provides views of Los Angeles landmarks including Dodger Stadium and the Hollywood sign. The format emphasizes a single trail distance over varied terrain inside Ascot Hills Park.
